History

The environment was initially based on one of the first Meridian Enterprise environments that was developed for a customer. The environment was updated with new functionality in 2006 and since then has been maintained through additional customer implementation projects. With each customer implementation, new customer requirements were included in the environment. At the beginning of 2009, the environment reached the stage where it could become a complete template that could be deployed for a wider audience.

Today, the template has been used at several customers, mostly in the process industry. In the development of the environment, a large number of customer environments were evaluated and the best features and good implementation practices were borrowed from several of these implementations. In the second half of year 2009, the environment was ready for the initial release and training material was completed.
